Ozzie
When I'm with my human family I love to jump in their laps. I am a big lap dog. I have a need to be with my human all the time, I will follow you from room to room. When you walk through the door, I will be waiting to give you lots of love.
I love to play with my foster brother. He runs, and I chase him. I also love to chew on my cow hooves and kong. I will run after a ball, but will not bring it back to you. I also love to jump in a kids pool and cool off.
I make my family laugh when I bounce, bounce, bounce. I can jump from a standstill up to four feet. They also laugh when I sleep on my back.
My favorite game with my canine friends is chase. Some dogs play too rough, and I want to play rough back. My foster mom won't let me do this, so she just calls me to her, and I immediately go to her. She can be such a buzz kill at times, but she does make a mean bowl of kibble.
When Im in an off leash area I like to try and get dogs to chase me. Sometimes dogs take this the wrong way, and have attacked me. My foster mom thinks it is best I do not go to an off leash area, such as a dog park (I told you she could be a buzz kill).
I live with kids that are 2.5 and 6 years old. I do bounce a lot, and have knocked over the 2.5 year old. I do this as I don't understand the weight x velocity theory. Adults don't fall over, so why do small kids? For that reason, I would do better with children over 6, they don't fall over as easy.
In case youre wondering, I do ask to go out when I gotta go., I do very well in a crate.
People tell me that Im more adoptable if I know things. Here are the commands that Ive already learned - Sit, Down, Stay, Look, Go to Bed.
My foster family knows me pretty well and they think the perfect family for me would be one that loves the outdoors and will take me for walks/hikes/runs. I can't wait to try camping this year.
Geez - I almost forgot to tell you that I am very protective of my home. When strangers come in, and my foster parents are not around, I bark and bark and growl. Once my foster parents start talking to them, and I know they are friends, I am fine with them and very friendly.

Please note that Pit Bull Rescue San Diego does not adopt on a first come first served basis. Generally we have formed an opinion about the sort of home that we want for each of the dogs in our program. This opinon is formed from knowing each dog and observing their interactions in various situations and through periodic evaluations. Our goal is to place our charges in the home that is the best possible for that particular dog. Our only goal is happiness and forever homes for our dogs. A forever home is most likely to happen when we do the best we can to find lifestyles and personalities that match.
We are aware that this is a human process and that you may or may not agree with our decisions. Please understand that we take very seriously the lives placed in our hands for this brief time and our decisions are only made out of protectiveness for the breed and the specific dogs we are placing and not out of any judgment of you or your life.
