Squeezle (my foster mom thinks thats one of the silliest names for a dog that she's ever heard.)
Some of my nicknames are Main Squeeze and Squeezy. My Gramma is 87 and sometimes she forgets my name and calls me Squeegee or WEASEL instead! My family laughs and laughs at that, but "I" don't think it's funny, I do NOT look like a weasel! When she calls me that, I just turn my head away and refuse to answer her....well unless she has one of those yummy doggie cookies for me!!. If she has a cookie for me, she can call me anything she wants!!
When I'm with my human family I just like to laze around the house with them, although mostly I like to be outside! Ahhhhh, I just love how the sun feels on my bones, I could lay there forever and be completely happy. Just don't forget to bring me my food!
My foster doggie sisters have lots of toys laying around, and my foster mom has given me some, and my doggie sisters let me play with them, but...I outgrew toys a few years ago! Sometimes, if one of the kittens leave their little toy mouse where I can get it, I try to steal it! They are fun to play with, but my foster mom is such a party pooper, she says it's too little for me and I might choke on it, and then she steals it right away from me and gives it back to the kittens!
Besides me, my mom also fosters little baby kittens. I didn't think it was funny, but it sure made my family laugh when the kittens were going after my feet and legs, I tried hopping from foot to foot to keep them off, but there were too many, so I had to run away!! I liked it when my mom said I was a pretty good dancer!
I have two crazy doggie sisters that can run really fast (especially Tayla!), and jump really high, and boy they sure can play fight! I'll follow them around for a little while and I love to bark encouragement at them, but then I get kind of tired of that kid stuff, so I go back lay in the sun again!
I don't mind having little kids around me, as long as they pet me very gently, don't climb on me, don't trip over me, and don't step on me. I'm sure I would never ever bite them, but it sure does hurt me when that happens. My human brother is 15. He really doesn't pay too much attention to us dogs, I'm sure it's because he's busy playing video games, and thinking about girls. Silly boy! My human sister is all grown up, and most of the time she's working, or at her boyfriend's house, so she isn't home very often. I like it when she is though. She volunteers for the rescue too, and I can't help but love everyone that tries to find a good home for me, and for all the other dogs out there that are homeless, like I was. I'm so glad I'm somewhere safe and warm now. I know that my foster family loves me, but I would be so happy if someone wanted to adopt me! Someone that wanted to give me a real forever home! If that happens, my mom could take in another homeless dog, I'd like that a lot.
I've heard that I have 3 kitty foster sisters and that they are big brats! They don't like dogs at all, so they run when they hear me coming. I'd like to see them up close a time or two so I can decide if I should kiss them, or chase them!! My mom's foster kittens sure like me (and my feet), but I mostly just try to ignore those little things, unless they have that little toy mouse that I like so much!!
I know that I'm supposed to go outside whenever I need to go potty, I try really hard to make sure I do that, but one or maybe two times, I just wasn't able to make it. Sometimes my bones hurt a little bit so it takes me a bit longer to get up from my bed. But, that was when I first came home with my foster mom, and I've grown so much stronger since I've been here, that it's easy to get up now! And, I like being in the backyard a lot more than being in the house anyway, so that make it even easier!
My foster mom knows me pretty well and she thinks the perfect family for me would be one that wanted to give a senior dog like me a forever home. A family that would understand that I don't really like to play, or fetch the ball, and they wouldn't care. Someone that has a yard that I can explore, and that has a nice soft bed out of the wind for me. I would really like to have at least one doggie brother or sister! They make me want to get up and run around with them for as long I can, and my mom says how great that exercise is for me. She even said I'll keep getting stronger and stronger! So, if I didn't have a doggie sister or brother, I wouldn't get my exercise, and I would be really lonely, and my mom promised me that I'd never be lonely again.

Please note that Pit Bull Rescue San Diego does not adopt on a first come first served basis. Generally we have formed an opinion about the sort of home that we want for each of the dogs in our program. This opinion is formed from knowing each dog and observing their interactions in various situations and through periodic evaluations. Our goal is to place our charges in the home that is the best possible for that particular dog. Our only goal is happiness and forever homes for our dogs. A forever home is most likely to happen when we do the best we can to find lifestyles and personalities that match.
We are aware that this is a human process and that you may or may not agree with our decisions. Please understand that we take very seriously the lives placed in our hands for this brief time and our decisions are only made out of protectiveness for the breed and the specific dogs we are placing and not out of any judgment of you or your life.
